Hello! I'm Jeralyn Stevens—a licensed professional counselor, artist, and the heart behind Wanderlust Wellness.
I'm a Stevens Point native, and it is truly an honor to serve the community that helped shape me. When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll usually find me with a cup of coffee in hand, wearing a cozy cardigan, creating art, spending time with my family, or trying to keep up with our wonderfully chaotic collection of pets. Life is beautifully full around here, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
As a therapist, I believe healing begins with curiosity.
One of the phrases my clients hear me say most often is, "Be curious about that." Whether we're exploring patterns, emotions, relationships, or the ways your nervous system has learned to protect you, I believe curiosity creates space for compassion—and compassion creates space for healing.
My work is grounded in a holistic perspective that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I believe every person already carries an innate capacity for healing, and my role isn't to tell you who to become. It's to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own strengths, wisdom, and authentic self. Together, we'll create an approach that reflects your unique story, values, and goals—because no two healing journeys are ever the same.
I earned my Master's degree in Community Counseling from Lakeland University in 2018, but my path to becoming a therapist began long before graduate school. Before entering the counseling profession, I worked in education with children and adolescents, eventually teaching social and life skills in a high school program serving students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
While others often focused on managing behaviors, I found myself asking a different question:
"What happened to this person?"
That question changed the course of my life.
It led me to graduate school while working full-time and raising two young children. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life—and one of the most meaningful. Somewhere along the way, I realized I hadn't just found a career.
I'd found my calling.
Today, I have the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and personal growth. I feel incredibly honored every time someone trusts me with their story.
Finding the right therapist is a lot like finding your favorite hiking trail or your favorite coffee shop—you know when it feels right.
Therapy is built on connection, and that connection matters. I encourage you to take your time, ask questions, and trust your instincts. If we discover we're the right therapeutic fit, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
And if you're waiting for a sign that it's time to begin...
This might just be it.
Welcome to Wanderlust Wellness.
I'm so glad you're here.
I believe there are many pathways to healing because every person who walks through my door brings a unique story, nervous system, and life experience.
Rather than relying on a single technique or one-size-fits-all approach, I thoughtfully integrate a variety of clinical, holistic, and experiential modalities to support each client's individual journey. These trainings have shaped my work, but more importantly, they have deepened my belief that healing happens when we honor the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
My hope is not to fit you into a particular method. Instead, we'll be curious together, discover what resonates most deeply for you, and create an approach that reflects your unique strengths, values, and goals.
As a Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor, I provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
While licensure reflects my clinical training, what matters most to me is the relationship we build together. My work is trauma-informed, client-led, and rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and whole-person healing.
Brainspotting has been one of the most transformative approaches I've encountered—both professionally and personally.
This neuroexperiential therapy helps access and process trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held experiences through the brain and body, often reaching places that words alone cannot. It is a powerful way of supporting the nervous system's innate capacity to process and heal.
I have completed advanced Brainspotting training and am currently awaiting my clinical certification. This work continues to profoundly shape the way I understand healing, and I'm continually inspired by the resilience and transformation I witness in my clients.
Our bodies are constantly communicating with us.
HeartMath teaches practical skills that help regulate the nervous system during moments of stress, overwhelm, or emotional activation. These evidence-informed techniques help build emotional resilience, increase feelings of calm, and strengthen our ability to respond rather than react.
Whether someone is navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, or simply the stress of everyday life, HeartMath offers practical tools that support lasting well-being.
I completed Creativity Fit® Coach training with artist and author Whitney Freya, whose work beautifully explores creativity as a path to personal growth and transformation.
One of the greatest gifts of this training was discovering that creativity isn't reserved for artists—it's part of being human. We all possess the ability to imagine, adapt, create, and see life from new perspectives.
Whether through art, metaphor, writing, or creative exploration, I often weave creativity into the therapeutic process as a way of helping clients reconnect with curiosity, flexibility, self-expression, and the parts of themselves that may have been forgotten along the way.
Because sometimes healing doesn't begin by finding the right answer.
Sometimes it begins by asking a new question.
As a Certified Reiki Master, I offer Reiki as a gentle, energy-based practice that promotes relaxation and supports the body's natural healing processes.
Some clients find Reiki to be a meaningful complement to traditional therapy, offering an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and cultivate a greater sense of balance and inner peace. Sessions are always guided by your comfort level and personal beliefs.
Healthy relationships don't happen by accident—they are built intentionally.
My Gottman Method training provides practical, research-informed tools for strengthening friendship, improving communication, navigating conflict, and deepening emotional connection between partners.
I have completed Gottman Level 1 Training and am also certified as a Bringing Baby Home educator, helping couples strengthen their relationship as they navigate the transition into parenthood.
I believe learning is a lifelong journey.
In addition to the specialties above, my work is informed by ongoing education and training in:
Each of these approaches offers a different doorway into healing. Rather than becoming attached to any one modality, I remain committed to learning, growing, and thoughtfully integrating the tools that best support the unique person sitting across from me.
Because healing is never about the technique.
It's about the person.
Every person's story is unique.
While many therapists specialize in specific diagnoses, I'm often drawn to the experiences that lie beneath them—the patterns, relationships, nervous system responses, and life experiences that shape how we move through the world.
My work is especially focused on helping individuals who are navigating:
This list simply highlights some of the areas I'm most passionate about—it isn't meant to capture every person, every story, or every reason someone might seek therapy.
If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you.
You don't need to have the "right" diagnosis or know exactly what you're looking for.
Sometimes the first step is simply becoming curious.
Together, we can explore whether Wanderlust Wellness is the right place for your journey.
